THE ORIGINS OF KUNG FU

Kung Fu, also known as Gongfu, is a term that encompasses a variety of Chinese martial arts with a history that can be traced back to the Zhou dynasty (1111–255 BC) and earlier. As a form of health cultivation and combat, it was practiced in the 5th century BC, focusing on the harmony of mind, body, and spirit.

Shaolin Kung Fu, is one of the oldest, largest, and most famous styles of Kung Fu of Chan & Zen Buddhism. It combines Chan philosophy and martial arts. It was developed in the Shaolin Temple in Henan province, Greater China during its 1500-year history. It has a great influence among all Chinese martial arts.
